It's Official, Beth Rowley has been nominated for a Brit Award in the category of British Female Solo Artist.

At The Roundhouse, NW1 last night, Beth Rowley was nominated for British Female Solo Artist at The Brit Awards 2009. This prestigious nomination puts Beth amongst great company across the Brits Hall of Fame for this award including: Kate Nash, KT Tunstall, Gabrielle, Annie Lennox, Kate Bush and Shirley Bassey to name but a few.

For the 2009 award, Beth has some stiff competition from her fellow nominees who are: Duffy, Adele, Estelle and MIA. The Brit Awards are on Wednesday 18th February, so watch this space for more information on THE MUSIC EVENT OF THE YEAR.

	Congratulations on your nomination, Beth. We aren't as familiar with your work over on this side of the Atlantic, but I heard your brilliant cover of Willie Nelson's Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground the other evening on an episode of Private Practice, and it was just lovely. Shonda Rhimes and company have such a knack for 'discovering' great artists and bringing them some much-deserved mainstream exposure. I predict lots of TV junkies like myself are sure to put that track on their 'must download' list. :) Congrats again on your nomination and wishing you equal success over here with us Yanks... :)
